Passengers public transporting forms through the Department essential links for territory planning. They allow exchanges between the business centres, the living Centres and contribute to the irrigation of an active and living countryside.
In Haute-Loire, twenty regular lines are under the responsibility of the Department Council, the public transport network.
The participation in Auvergne Mobility from the Department Council of Haute-Loire is part of our goal to develop the use of public transport and to facilitate access to our network, departmental and regional.

On-demand transport for people with disabilities or dependent people

From the 1st December 2008, the Department Council of Haute-Loire sets up a demand transport to people with disabilities. This new service comes as part of the departmental policy of the Department Council for people with disabilities or dependence and answering to real needs.

Served areas

To do this, the department is divided into 4 sectors. Transportation operates from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm,

  • Area 1 : Tuesday - Wednesday - Friday
  • Area 2 : Monday - Thursday - Saturday
  • Area 3 : Monday - Wednesday - Saturday
  • Area 4 : Tuesday - Thursday - Friday

This service allows people with disabilities or dependence, to move within its sector, to go inside the Puy en Velay urban community, as well as its sub- prefecture. It also allows to go to sporting or cultural events, predefined on the entire department. Transportation is provided by adapted vehicles for up to 3 wheelchairs. The pick-up and drop-off are carried out on the public domain at the point closest to the origin or destination.


As of 1 September 2015, the price is 4.50 euros one way, 9 euros return, regardless of the route.


This service is open to persons living outside the urban community of Puy-en-Velay who are:

  • holders of a disability card issued by the MDPH
  • allottees of the Disability Compensation Benefit (PCH) paid by the Department Council
  • attributaires de l'Allocation Personnalisée à l'Autonomie (APA) versée par le Conseil général


It is mandatory to book, no later than 11 am, the business day preceding the desired transport. Just call the Reservation Central on the +33  between 9 am and 12 pm, every working day from Monday to Friday.

If your disability requires it, you can travel with your guide, which will be carried free of charge.

Multi-routes tickets book and specific discounts

According to the line, delivering:

  • 10 or 20 trips tickets book
  • single tickets, with discounts for certain categories of users

Departmental social pricing

Upon presentation of a card issued by the Department Council (Direction de la Vie Sociale), 75% discount for the RSA beneficiaries under certain conditions

School and student pricing

Monthly fee capped at 22 € (school pupil) and 66 € (student)
